This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Platform. We believe privacy is a right, not a privilege. Our anonymous donation feature reflects this commitment — you can always choose to give without revealing your identity.

We collect the following types of information: INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE: • Account registration details (name, email, password) • Profile information for fundraisers (bio, photos, campaign details) • Donation amounts and dedications • Payment information (processed and stored by our payment partners — NOT by OpenFunds) • Communications with our support team INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY: • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent) • Device information (device type, operating system) • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy) • Referral sources ANONYMOUS DONATION DATA: When you donate anonymously, we do NOT collect or store any linkage between your identity and your donation in any system accessible to campaign organizers. Anonymous donations are processed through our payment partner for fraud prevention purposes only.

We use your information to: • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform • Process donations and send payment receipts • Verify campaign organizer identity and eligibility • Send transactional emails (donation confirmations, campaign updates) • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse • Comply with legal obligations • Analyze Platform usage (using aggregated, anonymized data) We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do NOT use your data for advertising profiling without your consent.

OpenFunds is proud to offer industry-leading anonymous donation protection. WHAT "ANONYMOUS" MEANS ON OPENFUNDS: • Your name will NOT appear on the campaign's donor list • Your name will NOT be shared with the campaign organizer • Your email address will NOT be shared with the campaign organizer • Your donation will appear as "Anonymous Donor" on public pages WHAT WE STILL COLLECT (for fraud prevention only): • Payment processor records (maintained by Stripe/PayPal, not OpenFunds) • Your account record (maintained securely, never linked to the public campaign) You may receive a payment receipt from our payment processor for your records. This receipt is for your use only and is not shared with campaign organizers.

We share your information only in the following circumstances: WITH CAMPAIGN ORGANIZERS: • Non-anonymous donors: first name, donation amount, and message (if provided) • Anonymous donors: only donation amount (no identifying information) WITH PAYMENT PROCESSORS: • Stripe and PayPal receive payment information necessary to process transactions. They operate under their own privacy policies. WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS: • We may share information with vendors who help us operate the Platform (email delivery, analytics, hosting), bound by confidentiality agreements. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: • We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to prevent fraud or protect safety. We NEVER sell your personal information.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information: • 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit • Encrypted data storage for sensitive information • PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via certified partners • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data • Incident response procedures for any data breaches No system is 100% secure.
